Agastya is a movement led by entrepreneurs, educators, scientists and children to revitalize and transform primary and secondary education in India. The Bengaluru-based non-profit educational trust seeks to stimulate and transform the thinking of economically disadvantaged children. Agastya does this by bringing innovative science education to the doorstep of Government schools in various states of India.
The Nalgonda Sandbox began its partnership with Agastya International Foundation in July 2016. They have launched their activities with a Mobile Science Lab.
This Lab exposes students the joy of science in their own classrooms, with the aim of sparking their innate creativity.
They are also embarking on an extensive teacher training program in order to equip government school teachers with the technical and communication skills to best serve their students.
They have a number of initiatives in store, including community visits, science fairs and continued training sessions and workshops.
